For most of my life I was a professional musician but as time went on and orchestra’s here in the US went bankrupt, I turned to computers for supporting myself. Needing an artistic outlet I started shooting Large Format and fell in love with the medium. I shoot with a 4x5 Canham DLC, using Fuji Acros or Tmax 100 as my film choices. As for my past, I hold a Master of Music degree from University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Music degree from California State University, Northridge. I have also done graduate work at Yale University and at the Manhattan School of Music. When working as a full time musician, I was a frequent performer with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, I have also performed with the San Francisco Ballet, the San Francisco Symphony, The Sacramento Symphony, The Stockton Symphony and The Monterey Symphony. My past affiliations have also included: The Modesto Symphony, The Honolulu Symphony, The Florida Orchestra, The Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra and the Stanlislavski Ballet Orchestra. I have also performed in the theatre (over 20 musicals as well as operas) including the National Tour of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast as well as performing as the Lead Trombone in the national tour of “City of Angels.” I have also performed in the Lake Tahoe Music Festival, and the Bear Valley Music Festival. As well as attending the Aspen Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and the National Orchestral Institute.
